The Speaking Well is focused on helping you improve your communication abilities when delivering speeches , talks, and presentations with a particular focus on Memory & Confidence. When joining The Speaking Well perhaps for you the result will be progress or promotion at work, or involvement with and representing your community or maybe you will find that you now have the ability to walk an entirely different path in your life from the one you walked before.
How each of us builds on what we learn at The Speaking Well will be different, but the common theme is this;
The Speaking Well builds communication confidence and together we can transform your abilities in speaking.
This speaking can take place on a one to one basis, to more than one, to an audience, and can also be in regard to meetings and negotiations. The ideas of The Speaking Well have practical and real application to all circumstances that involve communication through speaking.
The Speaking Well shares its knowledge and experience through providing online Membership, Meet Up Groups, Workshops, Seminars, Talks and personal advise and feedback. You are very welcome to join us for all of this.
The founders of The Speaking Well
The founders of The Speaking Well have extensive experience in the field of communication and speaking both in terms of their professional backgrounds and other interests. All of this is combined to help you achieve your goals in improving your speaking. The methods used at The Speaking Well are the very best and when applied will make a huge difference to you.
Tony Lazar
Tony has taught Latin, Maths and English to children between 5-13. He is the author of “Over the Bridge”, a book about the journey to learning and improvement and “The Learning Well”, a story of learning. There are several factors which affect the way and the rate you learn and they in turn impact how you are able to communicate and speak. The processes developed by Tony result in greatly enhanced learning and communication skills. Tony is a Past President of Harrovian Speakers and has held other positions of responsibility within Toastmasters International. Tony has worked with Alan McMahon in developing Memory Mapping & the 7 Paths to Speaking Well and their practical application for speaking and communication.
Alan McMahon
Alan’s background is in the commercial management of companies and projects, dispute resolution, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and negotiation. Alan is a director of The Speaking Well and The Learning Well, Past President and Past Vice President of Education of Harrovians Speakers, a founding member of Watford Speakers, an Advanced Toastmaster, consultant, advisor, speaker, coach, trainer, memory mapper, writer and commentator on speaking, communication & learning. Alan coined the term Memory Mapping and has worked extensively with Tony in developing the concept and applying it to speaking and communication.
Mandip Singh Sohal
Mandip is a Finance Officer who has worked in the financial centre of London for over 23 years, with various investment banks, insurance companies, brokers, and for one of the world’s wealthiest families. Mandip has been involved in several business start-ups including on the investor side. He is a supporter of running business using effective systems and processes.
Mandip has a young family and a passion for teaching children spirituality and entrepreneurship. Learning to learn is a core element of this and the building blocks for future progression. Mandip was until recently Vice President of Education of Harrovian Speakers.
