The Speaking Well uses the Learning Well Memory Map to provide a system that can be used to greatly improve your speaking, talking and presenting in public.

We provide a step-by-step guide that when used will build your confidence and provide you with a clear structure to follow helping you to speak about anything.

To achieve excellence in your speaking you do not need to know your words off by heart.

With this method you will know what you want to say but you will not need to know your speech word for word. Because of this your confidence will grow and grow and you will be a more natural speaker.

We have found that using the Memory Map achieves outstanding results.

Other areas of our material will take you through in detail how to produce and use these Memory Maps and to give you a flavour of what is to come we provide here a short introduction and overview of the Learning Well Memory Map Method.

The diagram that you can see here is a Memory Map. The subject and detail of this particular map is how to do Memory Maps. This Memory Map can therefore be used to deliver a speech, talk or presentation on how to do Memory Maps but it could be about any subject or topic that you chose.

The Memory Map represents a landscaped A4 sheet of paper.

In the middle you put the central idea, or topic or subject that interests you, in this case you will see the word ‘Memory Map’. This is the central idea of a talk that I would give on Memory Maps.

Surrounding the central word are placed 6 other words, ideas or topics, with lines joining these new words to the central one. No more than 6 words or ideas are linked to the idea in the middle as more than this can make it more difficult to remember.

You can see now that surrounding your main subject are six other ideas or subjects in the form of words . In the case of this Memory Map the words are:

A4 Paper, Gudelines,Location,Imagination,Easy,More

Each of these words are in a separate location on the Map and in delivering a talk on Memory Maps I would use the words and their location to help me. I would talk about ‘A4 paper’ first and work my way clockwise around the Map until I got to my final word and its location. This word is ‘More’.

The combination of the words and their locations on the Map is the most important thing in helping you deliver your speech.

2 or 3 more words can be linked to each of these 6 words or subjects, and these help you expand on and talk about each of these six subjects surrounding the main subject which in this case is ‘Memory Maps’.

This now gives you a framework and structure for your speech, talk or presentation which is brilliant for memorizing and brilliant for seeing how ideas link together.

You will see that we have also added pictures and colour to the Map. These are an aid to remembering your speech and their use will be explained when you learn about the Memory Map technique in more detail.

The example Memory Map is for a talk to be given on how to use Memory Maps, but it could be about any subject or topic.

This is a quick overview of the Method which we will explore in more depth.

If you learn and use the Learning Well Memory Map technique it will lead to a fantastic improvement in your ability to deliver speeches, talks and presentations.

The more times you use a Memory Map to prepare your talks the better and better your speaking will become. As the last point on our Memory Map says you can then become a Brilliant Speaker.

And please remember one thing.

By using the Learning Well Memory Map method you can deliver a great speech, talk, or presentation without having to learn what you want to say word for word.

This provides a great boost to your confidence when communicating with others.

Good luck with your Memory Maps!
